Julie's current projects include Sanctuary Is Not a Place, a contemporary immersive opera created in the Himalayas where making sanctuary is a practice to become-with a world that is never not broken, as well as The Witness, a translocal opera practice and cooperation between artists, researchers, and activists around the globe. Through these initiatives, she continues her collaborations with transdisciplinary artists engaged in Majority World opera practices.
